ようこそ知事室へ。徳島県知事の飯泉嘉門（いいずみ かもん）です。
「百年に一度の経済危機」真っ只中に発生した、千年に一度とも言われる「東日本大震災」によって「未曾有の国難」に遭遇し、日本全体が閉塞感に覆われている今、徳島こそが「確かな羅針盤」となり、「日本の再生」をリードするため、徳島県では、「いけるよ！徳島」を合言葉に、「挙県一致」で様々な取組みを進めております。
本県は、「豊かな自然」や阿波おどりをはじめとする「類い希な伝統文化」、新鮮で安全・安心を誇る「豊富な食材」、「進取の気質に満ちた県民性」といった、きら星のごとく素晴らしい「宝物」を有しており、これら地域資源を活かし、「知恵は地方にこそあり！」との強い気概のもと、時代潮流を先取りした創意工夫あふれる政策を展開しているところです。
なかでも、ドイツ・ニーダーザクセン州及び中国・湖南省との友好提携を通じての積極的な「地方外交」の展開、進化するマラソン「とくしまマラソン２０１２第５回記念大会」、さらには、全国初の二度目となる「第２７回国民文化祭・とくしま２０１２」の開催など、「地域の活力と魅力」を創造する徳島ならではの政策を、世界に強く発信して参りたいと考えております。
今後とも、「徳島の持つ潜在力」をこれまで以上に開花させ、県民の皆様が、「夢と希望」を持って「幸福を実感できる社会」を実現する「新たな挑戦！」に全身全霊を傾注してまいりますので、一層のご理解、ご協力をお願い申し上げます。

Welcome to the Governor’s Corner. My name is Kamon Iizumi, the governor of Tokushima prefecture.
Just as our country is in the midst of one of the worst economic crises of the century, we have been confronted by another unprecedented national crisis in the Great East Japan Earthquake, one of the worst quakes of the millennium. In a nation that is lost without a compass, Tokushima is making many efforts to become that sure compass, and under the banner of “Tokushima-the Robust Prefecture” we will come together to be a leader in Japan’s revival.Our prefecture is endowed with abundant nature, an unparalleled traditional culture, such as our Awa Odori dance, a bounty of fresh, safe produce, and a spirit of enterprise in our citizens that makes Tokushima shine like the treasure it is. Using these local resources, we are striving to develop new and imaginative measures to stay a step ahead in today’s fast-paced generation, with faith that true wisdom lies right here at home.
Our projects include cooperative friendships with Niedersachsen, Germany and Hunan, China, and there are many exciting developments from this proactive local diplomacy. We are also coming up on our commemorative 2012 5th Tokushima Marathon, and will soon hold Japan’s 27th National Culture Festival in Tokushima, the first prefecture to be a two-time host. With these measures we hope to show the local vitality and charm of Tokushima to the world.
We will devote every last effort to a new challenge of creating a happy society from our citizens’ hopes and dreams, in which Tokushima’s dormant strength flourishes more than ever before, so I humbly ask for your understanding and cooperation in this endeavor.
